Inspiration
Driven by 'process', 'texture' & 'a sense of place' my new work has been inspired by the diverse landscape, culture and history of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park where I am so fortunate to be able to now say is 'home' after retiring here from England in the autumn of 2025. In this new series of landscapes, I combine both egg tempera and cyanotype. This is achieved by adding a cyanotype image to the true gesso board before painting. The process is complex which is what I love about it. I get to experiment with both mediums and make lots of mistakes and discoveries along the way.
